Even though there have been few delays from our part, for most of the cases, the setback is on the share of the state utility as the infra-structure to upright the boiler and other apparatus was not set regularly,"said a senior BHEL official.

BHEL had to pay Rs 1,280 Crores during 2007 to 2013 as on behalf of maiming, says a 2014 statement given by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG).

The delay in the achievement of the projects across the state has reasoned a rough revenue deficit of Rs 27,153 Crores. This value is based on an estimation of the generation at Rs 3.50 per unit, said a senior TNEB official.

If all the contracted projects have been accomplished as per the agenda, TN might not confront power outages, he added.
