Close Drashan of the Lord Srinivasa at Tirupathi Temple cancelled!

In order to control large crowds of devotees waiting for the Drashan of the Lord at Tirupathi temple, TTD (Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam Board) implemented this drastic step from yesterday (2nd July).

This step has led to the devotees being deprived of the close Drashan of the Lord Srinivasa at the Sanctum Sanctorum.

On the days of fewer crowds, the devotees can enter up to 15 feet near the Kulasekaran Step to have a Darshan of the Lord Srinivasa (Moolavar). If there are is more crowd, the devotes can reach up to 40 feet distance the Ramar platform for Darshan.

As per the new system in effect from yesterday, the devotees are allowed to stands near the Jaya-Vijaya step for a Darshan of the Lord.

This new system was enforced as ordered by the TTD Administrator Mr. Giridhar Gopal. He informed that up to 90000 devotees can have a Darshan of the Lord as per the new system. Further, to avoid jostling of the crowd, a 3-line system has been adopted.
