Balalayam for 14 gopurams at Sri Ranganathaswamy temple

The “balalayam” the preliminary and preparatory religious rituals for the renovation process was performed for the 14 gopurams on the premises of the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple on Wednesday.
This is the second phase of the “balalayam” of the gopurams at the temple.
The holy rituals were performed at 14 places, including the Arya Bhatta gopuram, Paramapadavasal gopuram, Nazhi Kaettan gopuram, and Karthigai gopuram.
The work for renovating the temple commenced with the performance of special puja (Sudharshana homam) at 1,000-pillar mandapam last month. A large number of devotees witnessed the balalayam rituals.
