CBSE affiliated Schools to have 6-day week from 2015 at Secondary and Senior Secondary levels to meet working hour requirements as specified in Right to Education Act (RTE Act) 2009. Students are to have working day duration of 6 hours and 10 minutes and for Teachers 7 hours 20 minutes. Schools are advised to have 8 class periods per day.
