Dip in power generation

Officials from the electricity department say there was a dip in power generation from wind energy due to which there was 942 MW lag in power supply yesterday.
Right from the beginning of this month, various sources of electricity including diesel, water and wind energy generation were functioning. In general, nearly 4000 MW power generation is obtained from wind energy in the peak months of June, July and August. However, owing to the end of Tamil month, Aadi, there is a dip in power generation from wind energy.
