Cake preparation on the go, cake prices on the growth

As well all know, Christmas falls on 25th of this month and it’s fast approaching with just five more days left. The vibe of celebration has left the whole country starting to enjoy the eve with ginormous cakes getting prepared at all corners. That’s a tradition followed by people to buy cakes and distribute it among friends, neighbors and relatives on the day of Christmas.
Comparing the scenario with the last year, there seems to be a good increase in interest towards preparing cake this year, be it large producers or bakeries. With the increase in interest increases the price of cakes too. There is a hike in price of cake ranging between Rs 50 and Rs 500 per kilo the reason behind which is cited to be hike in price of raw materials going into the cake: flour, oil, egg, butter, etc., say manufacturers.
