Initiatives to restart the Nokia Factory at Sriperumbudur, Chennai

The additional secretary of Tamil Nadu Government’s department of industry, Mr. Shankar, has informed that initiatives are being taken to restart the Nokia factory at Sriperumbudur, Chennai, which was closed last year.
He informed this during the conference conducted by CII (Confederation of Indian Industries) at Eekkattuthangal, Chennai.
Mr. Shankar informed that Tamil Nadu plays a leading role in the country’s economic development and the state growth is 8.4%
He also informed that 6 new industrial corridors including the sections of Madurai-Tuticorin, Chennai-Madurai, and Chennai-Coimbatore.
The Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, had already informed in the parliament about the efforts for reopening Nokia Factory.
