Thoongavanam is the remake of Sleepless Night

After Uthama Villain, Kamal Haasan is donning the role of a police officer in the film titled Thoongavanam which is being directed by his associate Rajesh. Trisha is donning the female lead role while Madhushalini, Prakash Raj and Yugi Sethu are donning important roles. Gibran is composing the music. Now, it has been made known that Thoongavanam is the remake of the superhit French film Sleepless Night which was released in the year 2012.
The story of the film is about a cop with a connection to the criminal underworld finds his secret life exposed when he and his partner are caught stealing cocaine from a powerful drug dealer, a move that puts his son`s life in danger.
The shooting of the film is taking place in Hyderabad.
