Kaviperarasu Kannadhasan’s birthday

Kannadasan who is a renowned Tamil poet and lyricist was also a greatest and prolific writer in Tamil language. He is often called Kaviarasu Kannadasan. He has contributed to the world nearly 5000 lyrics apart from 6000 poems, and 232 books!
These books include novels, epics, plays, essays, and his noteworthy creation ‘Arthamulla Indhumadham’ that stands for the English meaning – meaningful Hindu religion.
He was a proud recipient of Sahitya Akademi award for ‘Cheraman Kadali’. He also received national award for best lyrics in 1969 for the movie ‘Kuzhanthaikkaga’.
This ace lyricist was born on 24th of June 1927 the date which marks this day!
