TNEA for students under academic stream comes to an end

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Secretary V. Rhymend Uthariaraj mentioned that Counselling for students under academic stream came to an end on Tuesday with as many as 1, 01,620 seats being allotted during the four-week period. More than 50 per cent of students who have been allotted seats are first-generation students and a third of the students admitted this year are girls.
On Wednesday and Thursday a total of 3,054 candidates from the vocational stream have been called; and on August 1, candidates who took the supplementary exams will be called.
This year, already as many as 91,473 seats have fallen vacant according to the data provided by the University.
