Trial run between Little Mount and Nanganallur Road conducted by CMRL

After four months of inauguration of the Chennai metro train service between Alandur and Koyambedu the Chennai Metro Rail Ltd yesterday conducted trial run of the metro rail between Little Mount and Nanganallur Road in the elevated corridor covering a distance of 4 km which is part of the Saidapet-Alandur-Airport elevated stretch of the Washermanpet-Airport corridor.
The trials will be conducted for a few months to test the signaling systems, electrical traction, oscillation of tracks and functioning of trains.
The service between Alandur and Chennai airport will commence by March 2016.
