Vegetables prices still high even after sufficient supply

Since the rains have almost stopped, there is good supply of vegetables in Koyambedu Vegetable Market. Though there is good supply, the prices of the vegetables have been increased.
There are about 60 daily vegetable markets in and around Chennai. There are such 40 shops in T Nagar, Nungambakkam, Adyar and Ambattur. These shops procure vegetables from Koyambedu Wholesale Market and supply to people. The Koyambedu Wholesale Market will be closed on the last Friday of every month; hence there will be more sales on Thursday. Though there is sufficient supply, the prices have not come down because the demand is more.
