SwiftKey now belongs to Microsoft

Microsoft has acquired SwiftKey for $250 million. SwiftKey is a smartphone keyboard app. Microsoft has said that it will integrate the new technology along with the Word Flow keyboard.
SwiftKey started in 2010 for Androids. The app has been downloaded over 10 million times. In 2014, the app was developed for iOS. It switched from a paid app to in app payments recently. SwiftKey is very popular for its keyboard predictions and its auto correct feature.
Microsoft’s acquisition of SwiftKey follows the company`s acquisition of Accomplish which was rebranded as Outlook on iOS. It also bought over Sunrise which is a top calendar app on iOS.
