FDA warns public not to buy medicine online

FDA (Food & Drug Administration) has warned the public not to indulge in buying medicines online.
As per the existing rules & regulations, the pharmacies cannot sell medicine items without proper prescription from the doctors.
However, with the advent of online sales of medicine, there have been no rules and regulations imposed.
Hence, the officials are in a quandary to take actions on the people selling medicines online without doctor`s prescriptions.
There has been an increasing trend of selling medicines illegally online.
With this trend, it is understood that some pharmaceutical companies have started pushing their non-quality products, and products which may have side-effects to sell online. Naturally, this has led to the commotion that public may be affected by this trend.
In this scenario, Food & Drug Administration official Mr. Masell informed that the central government is taking measures to regularize the sales of medicine online. We cannot check the quality of items sold online. Hence, we advise the public to refrain from buying medicines online.
