Here are some kitchen and cooking hacks that will make your chore much easier.

Waiting for meat to thaw and then cutting it is a laboriously long process. What you can do is cut the meat before freezing it. Thus way, you can just pick a piece out and use it when needed. This also solves the problem of having to use the entire portion even if it too much.

Some vegetable like green peas and beans can be frozen and stored and used later. However, using vacuum sealed boxes or bags to store it can be quite expensive. Instead use a good quality zip bag to store your veggies. Seal the bag and leave just enough space to put a straw though it. Now, suck out all the air from the bag. Quickly pull out the straw and seal the bag. This will ensure freshness for a longer time.

You have guests that walk in suddenly but your alcohol isn`t chilled. Here`s what you can do. Stash the bottle in ice and icy water. Add salt to the mixture. This cools the water faster. The ice cools the water down and the salt brings down the temperature of the water to below zero degrees Celsius.

Chopping onions is always a painful process. Many recipes ask for finely chopped onions. Here`s one way to do it. Chop the onion into half. Use a vegetable peeler to peel the onions. Finely chopped onions in a jiffy.
