Music composer Dharan Kumar to compose music for remake of Manal Kayiru

Manal Kayiru is the yesteryear Tamil hit directed by Vishu. Now this film is being remade in Tamil. After 34 years of its release, comedy family drama Manal Kayiru is being remade. The movie brings together actor S Ve Shekhar and Visu again.
Written and directed by Visu, the original featured Shekhar playing a hard-headed man who wants to marry a woman who best suits him and he has a list of conditions which need to be met.
In the remake, which will be directed by Yaaruda Mahesh-fame Madhan Kumar and produced by Sri Thenandal Films, Ashwin Shekhar, son of S Ve Shekhar, will play the lead. Visu and S Ve Shekhar will also be part of the cast. Poorna will play the heroine.
Music composer Dharan Kumar who has scored music for films like Podaa Podi and Aaha Kalyanam has four films in his kitty now. He is currently working on the remake of Manal Kayiru. The composer says, I just finished a promo song for the film which has been sung by Mukesh and Mansi. The song will also have a few dialogues from the original, which was directed by Visu. I`m sure that there will be comparisons with the original but the story of this remake film is different.
