No invitation letter to be sent for Civil services interview

Civil Services examinations, conducted for the high-level posts of IAS & IPS, etc, is in 3 stages - Primary, Main and then interview.
For the candidates who have passed the primary & Main examinations, the direct interviews are scheduled to be conducted from 8th March.
However, UPSC (Union Public Service Commission), which conducts these examinations, has announced that no formal invitation letter (by post) will be sent to the candidates selected for interview.
UPSC has informed that the candidates should visit the UPSC website and download the summon letter after registering their codes.
Those who could not download the e-summon letter should informed UPSC at least 5 days before the interview.
