Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa launches Internet to Every Household scheme

During the month of September, Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa made an announcement in the floor of assembly that cable operators of TACTV would offer broadband services and internet services at a low cost.
As per announcement chief minister J Jayalalithaa has launched Arasu Fibre - Internet to Every Household scheme. According to the tariff plan put out by TACTV, the package comes at 2GB, 5GB, 10GB, 20GB, and 40GB, at a price of Rs 299, Rs 499, Rs 549, Rs 649, Rs 799 and Rs 899 per month (inclusive of service tax).
Tariff for additional data pack has been fixed at Rs 99 for 5GB, while Rs 149 for 10GB. There is no additional data pack facility for Rs 299 plan.
