Facebook to launch live video streaming

Live telecast of videos is likely to get introduced with Facebook soon. Android users largely use live streaming of videos. Hence, Facebook has made an announcement that it will launch online telecast of videos on its social media platform for all its Android users.
This facility is already in existence with Apple Smartphones in the US. Further, this is available with all Verified Pages.
This is now at the verge of getting introduced on Android platform. This will be expanded to more than 30 countries excluding America. In the first phase, the facility will be introduced in Android phones, states a release by Facebook.
These videos will be given more importance on the Newsfeeds seen alongside the Facebook wall. Facebook adds that more videos are seen live as compared to other videos. Hence we are giving higher priority and importance to such videos, adds Facebook.
Twitter is providing a service called Periscope which is also about live streaming. This new move by Facebook will be a direct competent to Periscope by Twitter.
