Tamil Nadu Assembly election 2016 date announced

Election Commission on Friday announced that the state assembly polls of Tamil Nadu will be held on 16th May 2016. Model Code of Conduct comes into effect right from this minute. There are 5.80 Crores voters in Tamil Nadu.
- Election Commission of India for the first time comes out with a symbol for NOTA for the forthcoming Assembly elections
- Assam to go for polls in two phases and West Bengal in six phases.
- Kerala, Tamilnadu and Pondicherry will meet polls in single phase.
