Special camp for Voters list for college students from 7th to 11th March

Indian Election Commission has officially announced that the Legislative Assembly Elections in the state of Tamil Nadu will be conducted on 16th May and the counting is scheduled on 19th May.
The voters list has already been finalized. Currently, the district election office has announced that the activity of including new voters who completed the age of 18 as on 1st January, 2016 has been commenced. Special camps are being organized for this purpose for the college students. The final voters list for the current year was released on 20th January.
Following this, correction activities have been taken under, In this scenario, the district election office jointly with Chennai Corporation have commenced activities to enlist new voters who completed 18 years of age as on 1st January, 2016.
Accordingly, special camps for enlisting new voters will be conducted in 30 colleges in Chennai from 7th March till 11th March for 5 days. Students can also fill Form 5 though internet.
