Sleep inducing and sleep stealing foods

Here are a few foods that are sleep killers and sleep inducers. 

Milk is a sleep inducer. Amino acids called tryptophan is a precursor to serotonin which is a brain chemical. Another sleep inducer is rice. Of all the rice qualities, jasmine rice is the best to induce sleep. Bananas are major sleep inducers as they are stress busters. They also contain magnesium which is a muscle relaxant. 

Similarly, vegetable soup induces good sleep. Says a leading dietician, The softened vegetables in the soup are easy to digest, thus saving your digestive system from the stress of working overtime. Whole wheat breakfast cereal with milk is a perfect dish to put you to sleep. 

Wine is a sleep stealer. Although there are papers that indicate that red wine is good for the heart, it leads to low quality of sleep. So keep in mind when you drink your wine. Another sleep stealer is dark chocolate which contains the same amount of caffeine as decaffeinated coffee, which is a big no no before bedtime. 

Chicken or paneer curry is full of calories that will cause trouble falling asleep. Surprisingly, green tea is a sleep stealer. Green tea is best taken during the day. 

Whatever you eat, eat dinner at least an hour or two before bedtime.
