A R Rahman becomes a producer

Oscar winning music composer A R Rahman is now venturing into production business. His maiden venture has been titled 99 songs. His production house, YM Movies, is producing the Tamil-Hindi bilingual. The film, a bilingual, showcases the struggles of an aspiring singer to make it big in the musical industry.To be directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy, the pre-production including rehearsals for debut actors Himan Bhatt and Tenzing Dala is currently progressing in Chennai.
In addition to producing the film, Rahman will also be composing the music for 99 songs. Rahman is currently busy with background score of 24 and he is also working on the tunes of Shankar`s 2.o and Mani Ratnam`s yet-untitled film with Karthi.
