Tamilnadu MBBS Rank List Toppers 2011

The rank list for MBBS admissions was announced by Health Minister Dr V S Vijay at a press conference here on Tuesday.
Three students from Chennai have made it to the top ten ranks for MBBS seats for the academic year 2011-12.
SIVARANJANI K - 1st Rank
DHAKSHINI L S - 2nd Rank
SRUTHI GANESH - 3rd Rank
The top ranker K Sivaranjani, a student of Sri Vidhya Mandir Matriculation, Rasipuram. The second rank holder in the list is S S Dakshini of Green Park Matriculation, Namakkal.
Shruthi Ganesh of DAV Matriculation School, Gopalapuram in Chennai bagged the third rank while Suresh Paul Raj of Holy Family Convent, Keelkattalai, was fourth. Dunasheeba Soundharya of SBOA Matriculation, Anna Nagar, was ranked sixth in the list.
Short of seats
* The directorate of medical Education has sold around 23,000 MBBS application forms this year, as compared to 19,000 last year
* The number of medical seats across 17 govt colleges however remain the same as last year, at 1,653.
* Three of the best government medical colleges in the state - MMC, KMC and Stanley medical college have been denied extra seats by the MCI.
