Tirupathi Temple: No more VIP Darshan on Fridays

Among the various types of Darshan in the most popular Tirupathi Temple, VIP Darshan is also in vogue.
All VIPs (Very Important Persons) are allotted a special Darshan Time and then allowed to have Darshan of Lord Venkateswara.
With the ensuing summer season, it is natural to expect the crowd of devotees visiting Tirupathi to double or even more.
With this perspective, TTD (Tiurmalai Tirupathi Devasthanam) has cancelled the VIP Darshan facility on all Fridays from 15th April till 30th June.
This decision has been taken in view of the extra surge in devotees visiting Tirupathi during the coming summer holidays.
Individuals who bring recommendation letters from MPs & MLAs for VIP Darshan will not be entertained on these Fridays and no Darshan tickets will be issued to them.
However, MPs & MLAs will continue to enjoy this VIP Darshan facility.
Currently, there is a system where senior citizens & physically disabled persons to have Darshan facility daily at 10.00 AM & 3.00 PM twice a day.
Because of the expected oncoming summer rush, this facility for Darshan for senior citizens and physically disabled persons is restricted to only once a day at 3.00 PM from 15th April till 30th June.
