Trial run to be conducted on the underground stretch from Koyambedu to Shenoy Nagar

Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) is gearing up on top speed to complete all its works. CMRL is likely to conduct a trial run next month on the 5-km underground stretch from Koyambedu to Shenoy Nagar.
It has also been decided to inaugurate the elevated stretch between Little Mount to Airport as well at the same time. Currently, tunneling work is progressing between Chennai Egmore and Chennai Central.
The Second Avenue Road linking Anna Nagar Roundtana to Thirumangalam will be spruced up and barricades will be removed by the end of next month providing much-needed relief to motorists.
