National List of best academic institutes: IIT Chennai is first

The central ministry of Human welfare and development has introduced the annual listing of high-quality academic institutions throughout the country from last September.
The merit list of engineering and management institutes has been released recently.
Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai (known as IIT-M) has secured the 1st position in this year`s list.
The 2nd place goes to IIT, Mumbai.IIT Kharagpur occupies the 3rd place.
Among the Management Institutes, IIM, Bangalore has got the 1st place. IIM, Ahmadabad has got the 2nd place.IIM, Kolkata has got the 3rd place.
