Today is the last day for filing nominations for the forthcoming assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Filing of nominations will come to an end at 3 PM.
Filing of nominations for the Tamil Nadu State Assembly elections began on 22nd.
On the 5th day, all the 226 AIDMK candidates apart from Jayalalithaa filed their nominations. Ministers O Panneerselvam (Bodinaickanur),Natham Vishwanathan ( Aathur), R Vaithilingam ( Orathanadu) Edappadi K. Palaniswamy (Edappadi), P Palaniappan (Pappireddipatti) Pa Valarmathi( Thousand Lights), S Gokula Indira ( Anna Nagar), former ministers C Ponniyin ( Saidapet) and Panruti S. Ramachandran (Alandur) filed their nominations yesterday.
Moreover E. Madhusudhanan filed nomination for replacement candidate where CM Jayalalithaa has filed her nomination in RK constituency. Similarly other AIDMK candidates filed their replacement nominations in all the other constituencies.
AIDMK alliance R Sarathkumar (Thiruchendur), Se Ku Thamizharasan (Madurantakam), Thaniyarasu (Kangeyam) , Sheik Dawood (Kadayanallur), Actor Karunaas (Tiruvadanai) Thameem Ansari ( Nagai) and Arun Rasheed ( Vellore) filed their nominations yesterday.
Similarly BJP State President Tamilisai Soundararajan filed here nomination for Virugambakkam constituency.
