Separate SVP TV Tamil channel by Tirupathi Thirumalai Devasthanams

SVP TV channel is run by Tirupathi Thirumalai Devasthanams.The channel was begun on 7th July in the year 2008.All the religious programmes, poojas and other cultural programmes which happen in the temple will be relayed.
The channel comes on the air at 11 A M. For the benefit of Kannada and Tamil devotees a 1 hour programme and 1 ½ programme will be telecast daily. These programmes will be purely spiritually.
At this juncture, Tamil devotes demanded a separate Tamil channel. 40 percent of devotees come from Tamil Nadu,20 percent devotees are Kannadigas.
Tirupathi Thirumalai Devasthanams have agreed for this. They have written to the Central Government for approval of a special channel. An official of Tirupathi Thirumalai Devasthanams has mentioned that there will be 12 hours programme once the Central Government approves the channel.
