NEET - Phase II: Current Scenario

Posted on: 10/May/2016 3:44:01 PM
The Supreme Court has clarified all the questions and confusions, and spelt out its final say on how the medical admissions are going to be for the current academic year.   In its Judgement on 9th May 2016, it has clearly stated that undergraduate admission to medical courses viz., MBBS and BDS can be done only through National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) being conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

NEET will be the common entrance test all over India for medical admissions, including all private universities affiliated to MCI (Medical Council of India).  All eligible candidates who did not appear for NEET in phase I, i.e., exam held on 1st May 2016 can appear for NEET phase II.

Also those students who have already appeared for NEET I, but have apprehension that they have not prepared well can also apply, subject to the condition that they shall forego their candidature for NEET – I.Now it is the best opportunity for all medical aspirants to prepare well and take up the test in phase II.

At this juncture, a well-planned and structured preparation will only yield results.  Though we have 60+ days for preparation, but self preparation would not yield the desired result basically because what material to use, how to prepare, how to check the readiness  would be difficult to gauge.

Academy for Achievers is starting an Intensive training programme on the 18th of May 2016 to help students to prepare for the test.
