Tsunami warning systems installed in 33 places

Along the East Coast Road including Mamallapuram, 33 Tsunami warning systems have been installed. It has also been mentioned that 10 more Tsunami warning systems will be installed. The distance between Kottivakkam to Alambarai Kuppam is 87 kms. This coastal stretch is located in Kancheepuram District. There are about 40 fishing hamlets in this stretch. In order to warn these fishing hamlets, Tsunami warning systems have been installed.
