Vegetable prices hit a peak

As there is a reduced quantity of vegetables arriving in the city, the prices of vegetables have touched new peaks.
The quantity of vegetables arriving in the wholesale vegetable market in Koyambedu is reduced over the last few weeks. The prices shot up. The prices remain in the peak during this week as well.
The administrator of the Koyambedu Market Vegetable Traders’ Association, M Thiyagarajan, explained that the summer has been quite severe over the last month. There was some heavy rain in between The vegetable growth was affected by this and only less quantity has been arriving at the Koyambedu wholesale vegetable market. So, the prices of the vegetables have remained at a peak.
