Diploma Course in Karnatic Music from Chennai Music Academy

It has been announced that applications are to be submitted before 1st July to join the Diploma Course in Karnatic Music offered by the Chennai Music Academy.
A brief on the press release regarding this from the Chennai Music Academy
The Chennai Music Academy offers an Advanced Diploma course in Karnatic Music (vocal). This is a 3-year course. The course is on a semester basis – 2 semesters per year – July-November and January-June.
The classes are conducted from 8.00AM till 12.30 PM on all weekdays from Monday to Friday.10 candidates will be selected to join the course.
Interested candidates must have passed +2. They should be in the age group 18-35. The candidates should know ‘Manodharma Sangeetham’ and should be able to sing a few ‘krithis’.
The candidates should send their bio-data detailing about their music skill and qualification. Based on the scrutiny of applications, the candidates will be called for interview. Selected candidates will be informed.
Interested candidates should apply before 1st July.
Veteran Karnatic musicians such as R Vedavalli, Trichur Ramachandran, Professor Ritha Rajan, R S Jayalakshmi, P S Narayanaswami, Suguna Varadachary, Vidwan Neyveli Santhanagopalan, S Sowmya, Shyamala Venkateswaran, Vidwan Sriram Parasuram will take music classes.Classes will commence from 25th July.
