Railways to expand bedroll schemes to other railway stations

Officials of IRCTC have mentioned that the bedroll scheme will be expanded to other railway stations located in Tamil Nadu.
 
E-Bed Roll scheme
 
While travelling in AC coaches, passengers are supplied with pillow, bed spread and woollen blanket. In order to make this facility available in non AC coaches and 2nd Class, the Union railway minister Suresh Prabhu launched the e-bed roll scheme during the month of February.
 
IRCTC introduced this scheme in certain railway stations. Initially the scheme was introduced in Chennai Central railway station and Trivandrum Central station.
 
An official of IRCTC has mentioned that this scheme will be expanded to other railway stations also. He while speaking said: Sales of pillows, bed spread and blankets through e-bed roll scheme for non AC passengers was done in certain railway stations. 2 bed spreads and a pillow was sold for Rs 140 and a woolen blanket was sold for Rs 110.
