Widespread rains in several districts in Tamil Nadu

There was widespread heavy rain in Sivagangai district and the surrounding areas of Thirupathur, Devakottai, Singampunari, and Kalaiyarkoil, The heavy rains, accompanied by strong winds, lasted an hour. The streets were flooded.
There was uniform drizzle in Salem district and its suburbs of Omalur and other villages. The public and the farmers welcomed the rain with a lot of relief. They informed that the rains were most welcome, especially after the oppressive heat experienced in the last few days.
There was heavy rain with thunder for over an hour in Dharmapuri district and surrounding areas like Nallampalli, Ponnagaram, etc.
There was widespread rain in Namakkal district, Paramthi, Velloreand Nagai district Velankanni, Thirumarugal and other surrounding areas.
