CMRL will accept demonetised notes till Friday night

The Chennai Metro Rail will accept the demonetised Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 currency notes till Friday night. An official said, Rs 500 and 1,000 currency notes would be accepted from commuters provided there is enough change to return at metro stations. We will follow government`s directive.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said they would be accepted at certain public utilities - like petrol bunks and hospitals - for 72 hours, which is till Friday night.
