Science graduates have wonderful scope, experts

In the near future, science graduate students are going to have more opportunities with contract research and writing for gadgets, as data science and similar fields are growing in leaps and bounds. In the past few years, engineering craze has seen a steep dip to such an extent that over a lakh seats are kept vacant.
Lack of jobs and students’ interest switched to arts and science are the key reasons for such lack of interest. In addition to research and teaching, science graduates have got a number of other opportunities as well, says V. Venkateswaran, senior scientist at the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. Companies look for science based content. Mobile and other devices also need science content writers. Labs functioning in India also need science graduates to work on research that they do for foreign counterparts.
B.Sc maths graduates also have variety of job opportunities. They can fit in different openings with finance and insurance firms, and data science research. Students graduating from central institutions like the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research have got wider opportunities.
The central universities are eyeing on conducting entrance exam. When students clear these exams, they can get admission in central universities of Pondicherry and Tiruvarur, he further pointed.
