How to change a flat tire without a jack?

There may be various circumstances when flat tire may occur. Depending on the circumstance, the fixing of tire will change. When the flat tire happens on a freeway where there is no way to drive the vehicle out of the road, you need to contact a towing company to provide assistance. You may otherwise choose to wave down a motorist and request for a jack, or move on to the closest auto parts store to get a jack.

You shall drive the vehicle until a point when the flat tire is above the earth or soil. Turn off the vehicle and apply the emergency park brake. Take a stump or log or wooden block or concrete piece and place it under the axle that lies nearest to the flat tire. Keep the blocking material till it reaches in contact with the axle.

Start digging the soil beneath the flat tire. For this, make use of any digging tool like tire iron or a stick or just your hand. Take the soil out as long as needed for the axle to rest solidly on the blocking materials. On all the 4 sides of the tire, start digging hole for a few inches. This should be dug deep and wide so that the flat tire can be removed and spare tire could be installed.

Remove nuts from the tire. Take off the rim and take out the flat tire out of the hole. Place the spare tire and fix it with studs. Place back all the nuts and tighten them all.

After removing the flat tire from the soil, place a large rock so that I can fill the hole. Remove the emergency parking brake. Start the vehicle and press the gear. Gear up the vehicle until it gets out of the hole. Lift the axle out of the blocking material.

If it is tough for you to take the vehicle out of the hole, move it front and back using forward moving and reverse gear.
