Chennai Metro Rail launches mobile app

A mobile app has been introduced by the Chennai Metro Rail. This gives the details of how to recharge the card, the fares and the routes, the nearest bus stand, etc.

Chennai Metro Rail 1st Phase project covers a total distance of 45 km in 2 corridors. Out of this, the work up to 28 km is completed.

The Metro Rail stations have facilities such as escalators, lift, air-conditioning, etc. Around 25000 passengers travel daily.

At this stage, a new smart mobile app has been introduced by the Chennai Metro Rail Limited. This gives the details of routes, timings of departure/arrival, the railway stations, and making complaints.

The Metro Rail officials explained that they expect a gradual increase in public patronization.

With the scorching summer, the public naturally prefer to travel in A/c comfort. So, there has been a substantial increase in the number of passengers. A new mobile app, Chennai Metro Rail Company has been introduced.

 Apart from the details mentioned above, the App also gives info about the nearest bus stands and bus routes, safety help numbers, facilities for the differently-abled, important announcements for the passengers, rules to be followed, and the nearby tourist spots. So, the travelling public can easily access a whole lot of details.
