Free bicycle service facility to be introduced in Chennai Metro stations

Taking the facility in Kochi Metro as a model, Chennai Metro is also planning to introduce free bicycle services for the benefit of its customers.
In fact, Chennai Metro has announced a number of improved features and amenities. As a part of this, the free bicycle service at all Chennai Metro Stations is set to start. The customer can avail this facility to the areas within 5 km around the station.
The customers interested in using this free cycle service have to send SMS (To be announced by Chennai Metro soon). The reply SMS containing the password must be shown to the Cycle stand in the station and take a cycle. The customer need not have to return the cycle to the same place. It can be returned at any other Chennai Metro station.
This free cycle service scheme was introduced in the recently inaugurated Kochi Metro by Prime Minister Modi.
Now, it has been announced that this facility will be started soon in Chennai Metro as well.
