Chicken lollipop recipe

There are chicken lovers all over the world in various cuisines and tastes. It is in fact the favorite for most of us. It can be presented in different forms as it is a versatile cooking ingredient – fry, toss, bake, steam or sauté – you can do a lot with it. In whatever form it is cooked, the flesh will contain protein and low in fat so that it can easily get digested.
Here is the recipe for one of the most loved chicken dish, the chicken lollipop. The recipe given below can serve four:

Required ingredients
  • Chicken lollypops – 14 to 16
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tablespoons
  • Salt – as required
  • Black peppercorns (crushed) – 1 teaspoon
  • Soy sauce – 1 tablespoon
  • Oil – needed for deep frying
  • Chopped ginger – 1 tablespoon
  • Chopped garlic – 1 tablespoon
  • Red chilli paste – 2 tablespoons
  • Refined flour or Maida – 0.5 cup
  • Corn flour – 0.5 cup
  • Finely chopped spring onions – for garnish
Cooking method
  • Step 1 - Mix ginger garlic paste, salt, crushed peppercorns and soy sauce thoroughly in a bowl. Add all the chicken lollipop pieces to the mixture and keep the marinate aside for about half an hour.
  • Step 2 - Take a pan and add enough oil.
  • Step 3 - Take another bowl and add ginger, garlic, red chilli paste, maida, corn flour, salt and some crushed peppercorns. Mix altogether with water and make a thick batter out of it.
  • Step 4 - Take the marinated lollypops and dip it in the batter. Now deep fry the dipped chicken pieces in hot boiled oil. Once cooked, take it out and drain it on paper.
  • Step 5 - Use chopped spring onions to garnish. Serve hot.
