Airtel slashes rate of 4G hotspot device

Here is an offer from Airtel. The broadband giant is offering 50 percent discount on its 4G hotspot device and 4G dongle. On its official site, Airtel has mentioned the Airtel 4G hotspot price as Rs 999 while the previous rates were Rs 1,950. Earlier, the Airtel 4G Dongle was priced Rs 1950 whereas the rate is now slashed down to Rs 999.
However, before buying the Airtel 4G hotspot, there are a few terms and conditions that the user needs to know. This offer will be available only for Airtel postpaid customers. They will have to pay Rs 501 as an advance payment. This shall later get discounted out of the first or second bill of users. Furthermore, the offer is applicable for recharge plans rated Rs 499 or more. These conditions are not applicable for Airtel 4G Dongle though.
According to the usage terms, Airtel’s 4G hotspot can produce Wi-Fi hotspots that can be used by over 10 devices simultaneously. With a single charge, the device can function for up to 6 hours. There are options for 2G and 3G connectivity as well.
Earlier, in September, Airtel had made an announcement following Reliance Jio when the latter came up with 50 percent discount towards JioFi devices. JioFi devices come at Rs 999 rate rather than the launch rate of Rs 1999. To note, it was a limited period offer only for Jio Prime subscribers. Anyway, the offer is still listed on the official Jio site.
With JioFi, users can gain access to 2G or 3G smartphone using Jio 4G LTE network Wi-Fi. With this, they can make VoLTE calls as well. According to what Jio clams, 32 devices can be connected with this JioFi device. Further, Jio claims the download and upload speeds to be 150 Mbps and 50 Mbps respectively. The device comes with a 2300mAh battery that can last for up to 6 hours with one time charging.
