Special counter for Class 12 text books at DPI premises

Tamil Nadu Textbooks Corporation opened a special counter in Directorate of Public Instruction campus located at College road, Nungambakkam, Chennai. The textbooks for Class 11 will be available in the same premises from the second week of June 2018.
Text Books for the Government and Government-aided Schools were already distributed to the respective institutions. The books will be provided for the students in the date of joining, June 1 said the source from DPI.
For Self-financing and Private Schools the textbooks are made available by TN Text book Corporation in some of the authorized centers. Students from such schools can buy their text books at DPI center and also in Anna Centenary Library located at Kotturpuram, Chennai. There is a special counter in the library exclusively set up for the textbooks sale purposes. All the books from 1st standard to Class 12 are available in these authorized centers of Textbook Corporation.
Through the official website of TN Textbooks Corporation, www.textbookcorp.in , People can order the text books online and the books will be delivered through courier. There is a security set up in the official website ordering of the books online. Students can buy only one set of books for the standard they are going to study. Buying multiple standard books on a single purchase might create an imbalance in the equal distribution of text books.
TN Textbooks Corporation minimized the access of buying online to avoid people buying bulb books through website and selling it or higher prices outside. Officials from the corporation has announced that legal action will be taken if any of the centers tries to sell more books for a single person.
The special counter inside the DPI premises is located right next to the Aavin Milk center near Indian Overseas Bank. Only Class 12 Textbooks are available in this special counter. Educational authority of Tamil Nadu has changed the syllabus of Class 1, 6, 9 and 11. Text books for the Classes 1, 6, and 9 are already available in the authorized centers of Textbook Corporation.
