Summer vacation comes to a close - schools to reopen in 1st June

The summer vacation is about to end. The schools are set to reopen day-after-tomorrow (Friday, 1st June). The school annual examinations got over by 20th April when the summer vacation commenced.
Generally, only the whole month of May is declared as a summer vacation for the classes from 1st to 5th Standard. However, this year, just like the high schools and higher secondary schools, summer vacation started for the students of 1st to 5th Standards started early by the 3rd week of April. Thus, this 41-day summer vacation is drawing to a close.
All the schools are set to reopen on 1st June. An order has been issued that all the classes must commence on 1st June in all the government and government-aided schools. Further, it has been instructed that the books and uniforms should be distributed on the reopening day itself.
The colour of the uniforms has been changed this year for all the government high schools. The dates of the commencement of the public examinations for the 10th, +1 and +2 classes will be announced on this reopening day itself as well as the dates of the results for these public examinations.
