Microsoft provides 25 offers to IIT Madras students

The placement session began just few days ago in Indian institutes of Technology or IIT. IIT Madras or IITM is now making superb news. Microsoft is highly popular IT Company headquartered in Redmond in Washington DC, USA. The news is for the students of IITM, this Microsoft has now given 25 offers. This was on the day one of the placement session. One important piece of information is Apple and Goldman Sachs were the other popular companies that have given as many as eight and seven offers respectively to the students of IIT Madras.
As many as 19 top companies including Apple and Google gave a total of 85 offers to the students and it included as many as 6 international offers too. In the first session, top three famous consulting majors like McKinsey, The Boston Consulting Group and Bain and Co took part. These companies were responsible for giving 13 offers to the students. Beginning from 7am in the morning to 3pm in the afternoon of Saturday, 1st December 2018, ISRO and ONGC recruited as many as 7 candidates from IIT Madras and it took total offers to 92 in the first session. There were 29 offers from the finance and analytics sectors to the students of IITM. This was confirmed by Professor Manu Santhanam, advisor, training and placement of IITM. The important information is more than 1300 students have registered for placement this year from IITM. There are more than 326 companies that showed interest to recruit the students.
A computer science and engineering student of IITM expressed her feelings and spoke about how she performed well to get selected for the Redmond campus of Microsoft. She explained about the interviews of the software giants and how she had cleared those with confidence. She finally threw light on the nerve wracking coding questions that were asked and how she overcame those questions to get selected.
