Rain expected in Chennai

According to the Chennai Meteorological Department, the city will see rains over the next few days. A trough over Sri Lanka will bring rain to the coastal districts of north Tamil Nadu and to the southern regions of the State. Rain or thunderstorms may occur in part of Chennai.
Rain will be welcome to city residents who have felt the heat soar in the past few days. The monsoon was also weak last year.
