Prospects of rain in coastal districts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai

The Chennai Meteorological Centre has informed that there are prospects of rain in the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu including Chennai, Kanchipuram, and Thiruvallur.
Due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere over the Bay of Bengal, there are prospects of rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
The Chennai Metro City will remain cloudy.
