Iyakkunar Sigaram K Balachanders stature unveiled by actors Rajini and Kamal!

Super actor Kamalahassan and the superstar Rajinikanth unveiled the statue of the legendary director K. Balachander, the maker of several classical Tamil and other language movies to be honored with the title, ‘Iyakkunar Sigaram’ (Emperor among the film directors!),
Celebrations galore are being performed on the very special occasion of the 60th anniversary marking the super actor Kamal Hassan in the film industry with a lot of special events/programs being organized.
Kamal unveiled the statue of his father (Paramakudi) Srinivasan yesterday (Thursday, 7th November) in Paramakudi.
Subsequently, he has installed the statue of his mentor and Guru, director K. Balachander in his office. Kamal and Rajini jointly unveiled the statue of the legendary director today (Friday, 8th November).
Several celebrities in the film industry including directors Maniratnam, KS Ravikumar, Nasser, Balachander’s daughter Pushpa Kandaswamy, Pyramid Natarajan, Santhanabharathi, Ramesh Arvind, Kamal’s daughters Shruthi and Akshara Hassan and actress Pooja Kumar participated in this event!
