This is very important piece of news for the students studying in the classes 10 and 12 of CBSE schools.

It is revealed that the public examinations for the students of classes 10 and 12 belonging to CBSE or Central Board for Secondary Education would start from 15th February 2020.

It must be taken into account that the public examinations for class 10 would go on till 20th March and the class 12 public examinations would go on till 30th March. Point is CBSE wants to help the students of these two classes and hence released the examination date well ahead.  The students of class 10 and class 12 would first take examinations in the vocational and elective subjects and later in the core subjects.

It was mentioned by Mr. Sanyam Bharadwaj, controller of examinations of CBSE, that the class 10 and class 12 students have opted for nearly 30,000 different combinations of subjects. This has been shown by the data. He added that since these examinations would be conducted from middle of the month of February 2020 efforts have been taken to release data sheets at the earliest. He concluded that early release of examination schedule was done to make sure the students get enough time for the preparations.

It is worthy to note that CBSE has also taken care to make sure that the students get sufficient time between the exams of main subjects and dates of the competitive examinations doesn’t coincide with their board examinations. Distribution of the students has been kept in the mind and it is now revealed that on a particular date large number of students would not reach the examination centre.
