Half-yearly vacation extended till 4th JAN FOR SCHOOLS!

Earlier, it had been announced that following the half-yearly examinations which concluded on 23rd December, the schools would close for vacation until 2nd January.
In this situation, as there were prospects of the vote-counting scheduled on 2nd January to continue past midnight, the teachers engaged in election duty put up a request to extend the school reopening date.
Subsequently, the half-yearly vacation has been extended by 1 more day till 3rd January, especially for the government and government-aided schools. Thus, the state government department of School Education has announced that the schools will reopen only on 4th January after the half-yearly vacation!
